Alias Resume is a modular career vault. You write your career down once as reusable Blocks — skills, roles, education, projects — and then assemble a tailored resume, called an Alias, for each job you apply to. The pipeline tracker keeps the applications straight after you send them.

Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, no password, and no profile. Open the app and start building. Your vault lives on your device, and when your device is signed in to iCloud it also syncs through your own private iCloud container — not through any server belonging to us.
What does Alias Pro include?
Alias Pro unlocks unlimited resumes and cover letters, Word (.docx) export, the AI Prompt Library, keyword coverage analysis, and the section template library. Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase.
I bought Pro but it is not showing up.
Use Restore Purchases in the app's settings. That asks Apple to re-check the purchase history for the Apple Account that made the purchase, and Pro should unlock again within a few seconds. Two things to check first: you are signed in with the same Apple Account you originally bought with, and the device has a live network connection. If it still does not appear, email us and we will help you work out where it went.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app. On your device open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, choose Alias Resume, and cancel there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple does not give developers that control.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Building Blocks, assembling an Alias, writing cover letters, running keyword coverage, and exporting all work with no network connection. You only need to be online for iCloud sync to move changes between your devices, and for App Store purchases and restores.
How do I request deletion of my data?
There is nothing on our side to delete — we never receive your vault, so we hold no copy of it. To delete the data itself, remove the items in the app, or delete the app to remove its local storage. Deleting the app does not by itself clear the copy in iCloud: if your device was signed in to iCloud, also remove the app's data under Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Once it is gone from your device and your iCloud, it is gone.
How do Blocks and Aliases actually fit together?
A Block is one reusable piece of your history — a role, a skill, a degree, a project — written once and kept in the vault. An Alias is a selection of those Blocks arranged for one specific posting. Editing a Block updates the source of truth; each Alias stays its own arrangement, so tailoring for a new job never means retyping your career.
What does the job posting parser do?
Paste the text of a posting and the parser pulls out the structure — title, requirements, recurring terms — so you can see what the posting is actually asking for. With Pro, keyword coverage analysis then compares that posting against the Alias you have assembled and shows which terms your resume covers and which it misses, so you can decide what to add or reword. Both run on content you supply.
What is the AI Prompt Library?
It is a library of prompt templates you can copy and use with an AI assistant of your own choosing — for rewriting a bullet, drafting a cover letter opening, or tightening a summary. The library gives you the wording; where you take it is up to you. If you paste your resume content into a third-party AI service, that service's own terms and privacy policy govern what happens to it, and we are not involved in or responsible for that exchange.
How do I get my resume out of the app?
Every Alias exports to PDF and to plain text, which is the format most application forms and applicant tracking systems prefer for pasting. Alias Pro adds Word (.docx) export for postings that ask specifically for a Word file.
What does the pipeline tracker keep track of?
Each application you log carries its stage, the Alias you sent, and any reminder you set, so follow-ups do not quietly slip past. Reminders are local to your device.
