METADATA NOW does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.
What the app does with your files
When you drop an image on METADATA NOW, the app reads that file, writes a cleaned copy to the folder you selected, and forgets about both. Your original file is never modified.
All processing happens on your Mac. The app contains no networking code, so your images cannot be uploaded anywhere — it works exactly the same with your internet connection turned off.
What the app stores
Two things, both on your own Mac, both inside the app's sandbox container:
- A macOS security-scoped bookmark for the output folder you chose. This is what lets the app save cleaned images without asking permission every time. It grants access to that one folder and nothing else.
- Two interface preferences: whether to reveal results in Finder, and a count of images cleaned.
Neither is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes both.
Analytics and tracking
There is none. No analytics framework, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier, and no third-party SDK of any kind is included in this app.
Data collected
None. This is reflected in the app's bundled privacy manifest and in its App Store privacy disclosure.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
